Marla Smith, MS, is the country director for the International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) Mozambique. Ms. Smith has over 20 years of international development experience in Latin America, Asia, and southern Africa, including over a decade in Mozambique. Her areas of expertise include health, HIV, gender, management systems, research, and the socio-economic and environmental factors related to poverty. Ms. Smith holds a master of science degree in agriculture, environment, and development from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England.
