Doris Sissi, Diploma in Art, is currently a community activist in Namibia, where her focus is on bringing dance and other creative opportunities to children affected by HIV/AIDS, vulnerable children and children with special needs. She believes in the physical and mental benefits of the energy and joy of dance. Ms. Sissi was born and raised in Durban, South Africa, and studied dance in the Ixopo Natal area of Durban. She has lived and worked in the United States and Germany, educating children about the cultural traditions of South Africa, as well as teaching dancing and drumming. She brings the vibrancy and culture of her Zulu heritage to her teaching.
