G. Manoharan

G. Manoharan, MD, is currently the medical director of the International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) India and oversees all clinical activities of I-TECH India/AroGyaan. Dr. Manoharan is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Global Health, University of Washington (UW), a member of the Clinical Steering Committee of the I-TECH global network, and one of the core committee members responsible for the development of the UW Diploma Course in HIV Medicine. Dr. Manoharan is also a member of the Expert Committee at the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. Prior to this, Dr. Manoharan taught medical studies at the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and at IRT Perundurai Medical College and Hospital. Dr. Manoharan has received several honors and awards including the Mother Teresa Award presented at the International Conference on AIDS India, Best Research Paper Awards at the Association of Physicians of India Conferences, award for the "Best Care and Service for HIV/AIDS patients" by the Rotaract Club Erode District, the Sevai Semal Award for Care and Support of HIV Patients by the Lions Club of Erode, and the Life Time Achievement Award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. He is a life member of the Association of Physicians of India, Indian Medical Association, and AIDS Society of India.
