Magdalena Nghatanga, MA, is currently the director of the Directorate of Primary Health Care for the Ministry of Health and Social Services for the Republic of Namibia. She heads more than 20 preventive, health promotion, and rehabilitation programs. She guides, coordinates, and plans for primary health care and development of standards for the implementation of services. Ms. Nghatanga was born in Ongwediva, Namibia. She began her education in Namibia, and then continued her tertiary education in the United Kingdom, where she obtained a master’s degree in education, majoring in mass media. Ms. Nghatanga also has a post-graduate advanced diploma in primary health care and is trained in general nursing.
